Sherlock Holmes Escape Description

Replying to an advertisement in the Times newspaper, you travel to London to interview with the enigmatic Mr Holmes, London’s most famous detective. Upon arriving at 221B Baker Street and going upstairs, you find Mr Holmes’s study empty and wonder where he is? Suddenly the door shuts and you find yourself locked inside with only a note from the great man informing you that he has set a challenge for prospective job applicants. Apparently, you are expected to solve a number of fiendish puzzles taken from his famous cases in order to escape from his study, solve the mystery and prove yourself worthy of getting the job and becoming his next assistant.

Set in Victorian London in the 1890s, this escape room will challenge your team to its limits to work together by carefully examining all the items in the room to crack the case and successfully escape from your predicament.

Around the study you will find such items as a noticeboard with an Orient express time train timetable, a postcard and a mysterious letter from Irene Adler. On a bookcase stand an enigmatic collection of tomes which may help you in your investigations. On a low table is a map of Dartmoor, and against one wall is

a desk with a locked drawer and an old typewriter which may hold a valuable secret. Other items in the room include a wrought iron safe with a combination lock and Mr Holmes’s violin propped up against an old piano in the corner.

Due to the plethora of clues and threads present in the room presenting this challenge, your team will have to work closely together by delegating tasks to each member in the team to work on concurrently; excellent communication is required to share all the information you find and deduce how the information should be fitted together to open all the items, find all the clues and finally expose the hidden treasure at the end to prove yourselves worthy and escape Mr Holmes’s study!

Will you escape in time and be hired by the great detective? Only time will tell.
