Walking from Victoria station by way of Piccadilly, I strolled through Mayfair and Hyde Park, before winding my way down Baker Street for my appointment, with the mysterious and enigmatic Mr. Holmes.

Sherlock Holmes Escape Description
Replying to an advertisement in the Times newspaper, you travel to London to interview with the enigmatic Mr Holmes, London’s most famous detective. Upon arriving at 221B Baker Street and going upstairs, you find Mr Holmes’s study empty and wonder where he is? Suddenly the door shuts and you find yourself locked inside with only a note from the great man informing you that he has set a challenge for prospective job applicants. Apparently, you are expected to solve a number of fiendish puzzles taken from his famous cases in order to escape from his study, solve the mystery and prove yourself worthy of getting the job and becoming his next assistant.
Set in Victorian London in the 1890s, this escape room will challenge your team to its limits to work together by carefully examining all the items in the room to crack the case and successfully escape from your predicament.
Around the study you will find such items as a noticeboard with an Orient express time train timetable, a postcard and a mysterious letter from Irene Adler. On a bookcase stand an enigmatic collection of tomes which may help you in your investigations. On a low table is a map of Dartmoor, and against one wall is
a desk with a locked drawer and an old typewriter which may hold a valuable secret. Other items in the room include a wrought iron safe with a combination lock and Mr Holmes’s violin propped up against an old piano in the corner.
Due to the plethora of clues and threads present in the room presenting this challenge, your team will have to work closely together by delegating tasks to each member in the team to work on concurrently; excellent communication is required to share all the information you find and deduce how the information should be fitted together to open all the items, find all the clues and finally expose the hidden treasure at the end to prove yourselves worthy and escape Mr Holmes’s study!

The puzzles in this escape adventure include locks and dials, code breaking, cryptography, creative reasoning, music and logical deduction. It is designed to foster collaboration within the team by encouraging team members to explore different puzzles and locations at the same time.

Style
This is a non-linear escape room, which is located in only one room, with an interlocked series of clues and puzzles, each of which can be worked on in any order. Puzzles can be worked on by several players at the same time without completing other tasks first. It is suitable for players with a reasonable experience of games.
It is challenging enough for experienced players.
