You try to open the door but you find yourself locked in the Captain’s cabin. Hostiles who got onboard the ship have locked you inside. This virtual escape room features different rooms where you need to find the right clues before you can go on with the other activities. The key is to solve the first clue in the Captain’s Cabin and you’ll be able to enter the different rooms on the ship. Each room has an important clue and a puzzle. You need to identify which clue is meant for which puzzle so you can send out the rescue signal.
You look around the room and open a drawer containing a note providing you with clues on how to find a way to escape the cabin. The notes tell you the order of the keys hidden somewhere in the Captain’s cabin. Do you have what it takes to solve this online escape room?
In the Captain’s Cabin
You scan the room, trying to find the clues you need to escape. There are seven objects you can explore in this room: the cabin door, a broken radio, a drawer containing your first clue about the keys, another door you can’t open, a shelf, a curious-looking file cabinet, and a wall clock. Your eyes fall on the clock that’s set at 10:15 but you wonder what it means. You try your luck and enter the numbers on the key code on the Captain’s cabin door but it didn’t work. Could the numbers be for the filing cabinet? You enter 1015 on the filing cabinet and it opens.
The filing cabinet opens and reveals a compass, a flashlight, a bunch of names, and a number of keys arranged in what seems to be a random order. What could this mean? You remember the first note you got and figure out that it’s for finding out which one can open the cabin door.
Use the clues on the note to find the correct key and be very careful in choosing it, since you’ll get in trouble if you enter the wrong one. Entering the incorrect key will attract hostiles to your position and you’ll end up back to where you started.
You’re able to figure out which one is the correct key and enter it on the cabin door. Finally it opens! You brace yourself and step outside, still worried about what comes next. Are the hostiles still there? You get out of the cabin so you can look for a way to get off the ship.
In the Corridors
As you try to find your way out of this virtual escape room you find yourself in a corridor heading towards the bridge and see more doors – one heading to the bridge and one heading to the navigation room. Both doors are closed and need the right key to open. Head back to the cabin and check which keys can open the doors.
On the other side of the corridor, you’ll see a path leading Below Decks. You’ll notice the crew quarters door on the left wall. You also need the right key from the cabin so you can open the crew quarters.
In the Navigation Room
You enter the navigation room key since it’s the easiest one you can decipher from the note’s clues. After you’ve entered the key, the navigation room door opens and you’re in a room with a map telling you to drag the black ship markers to determine your ship’s current location. Once you’ve plotted your ship’s location correctly, you’ll receive a code that you need to input to indicate you’re done solving the puzzle.
On the Bridge
Once you enter the correct key for the Bridge Room, you’ll find more clues about the ship’s log. You also gain access to the Upper Decks. You need to find more clues with your teammates to enter the correct coordinates before sending a rescue signal. The Upper Deck is where you send out your signal once you’ve figured out your ship’s exact location. You’ll also find instructions on how to assemble an Aldis Lamp.
In the Crews Quarters
Open the crew’s quarters with the correct key and it will lead you to a room where you’ll find more clues – a mobile phone and the Aldis lamp that you need to assemble. Once you’re done assembling the lamp, you’ll receive a code that you can send to your teammates.
Below the Decks and Engine Room
When you go down below the decks, you’ll find the Engine Room and a piece of paper with the letter “Z” on it. Open the Engine Room using the right key and it will lead you to a room where you can find a puzzle asking you to fix the engine. Once you succeed in fixing the engine, you’ll receive another code. You’ll also find another piece of paper containing a sequence of numbers and letters.
Once you’re done solving all the puzzles, return to the Bridge and enter your coordinates to send out a rescue signal. Escape awaits!
